2009-04-08 12:55:58 - Jack de Lowe Related to: Brooklyn, USA - United States House Swap - Raanana, Israel for Brooklyn Heights
We have a lovely 5 room house (TV room, office, 2 bedrooms, and large dining room/living room) with a large beautiful garden in a very quiet location close to the center of Raanana. The house is on one level with no stairs into the house. We would like to exchange our home for a 1-2 bedroom apartment in Brooklyn Heights from approximately 18 June until 18 July. We are a senior couple visiting our daughter who is studying in Brooklyn.
If you are interested, please send complete details including how many people you are, exact location of your place, and if possible a few pictures. Please write for pictures of our home.
The people interested in our home must be completely shomer kashrut.
London neighbourhoods Our family of four is traveling to London in July. We would like to look for an air bnb in a secular neighbourhood within an hour's walk to an Orthodox synagogue. Can you suggest some neighbourhoods for us to try?
how to ship belongings What does Customs allow or what items do they tax heavily. I have electronics, laptop, tablet, printers, I need as a writer, and also want some household items for an apt. with me. Want to give out blankets, soup, and bread to poor and shut-in Holocaust survivors too. Have Israeli friends, but don't want to bother them before I visit them. No idea who to contact for apt. search and for Customs requirements.
