Cheap accomodation in London Hello,
I am a French-Israeli student of 26 years old. After a few years spent in Israel, I am now living in Paris to complete my Master at the Ecole du Louvre in museum studies, aiming to go back to Israel by the end of next year.
As part of my Masters's degree, I am to do a 3-months internship in a patrimonial institution of my choice, starting from February 2012. I have wished for a long time to have an experience in London, and think this might be the occasion. As I started searching for internship possibilities across the city (including the Ben Uri Gallery), I have to start considering my lodgings, which is the reason I contact you today.
Indeed, if I were to be taken as an intern in London, I wouldn't have much time or money to be renting a place of my own. My lifestyle here in France is rather cheap, and I don't afford enough today to be saving up for the London renting rates. But as motivated as I am, I really hope I could find a way to get decent accommodation, and finally make my wish come true.
Therefore, I would like to know if there are, among the Jewish communities of London, ways to be lodged, such as au pair services (although I could be doing a full-time internship), or by paying a symbolic rent, or just by keeping company to whoever wishes to help a young Israeli and Jewish student like myself.
If there is a formal process, could you tell me what documents you would need from me (resume, covering letter...)?
